One Mission-One Spirit! Although all mission team volunteers are not able to travel together each year due to housing limitations, we share one mission in the service of others by providing hope through our work projects. All volunteer fees are used to get the teams to Honduras and for the logistics of the stays at the mission. Our fundraisers are what make the work projects we do there possible. The proceeds from all fundraisers hosted by our teams are used to fund the work projects of both trips. "The real work happens before we leave", as our beloved Jennie Martin, St. John's mission team co-founder, used to say. Our fundraisers are a great way to connect with volunteers, mission alumni and our wonderful supporters. Invite others to participate! A huge part of our success over the years is a result of the support of so many who have never or may never have a mission trip experience. What a blessing!
Details about these fundraising events will be posted to this page and sent out via email.

The Goat with No Name, written by Amy Reavis, is a great children's book that teaches children how love, laughter, and faith are things that make life full and happy.
Books are $10 and 100% of sales benefit Olancho Aid! If you would like a copy, please contact Lisa at [email protected].
Jennie's Sewing Angels, a volunteer sewing group, has been working diligently to make items needed for our mission trips to Honduras. For example, in past years they have sewn drawstring bags for community donations and harnesses & aprons for electronic tablets donated for Nazareth, Olancho Aid's Special Needs School. If you or anyone you know would like to help the Angels, please contact Judy Tureau via email at [email protected]. They are a great group of women to sew and hang out with!
A local chapter of the Alpha Delta Kappa - Beta Eta teacher sorority has adopted Nazareth (Olancho Aid's school for students with special needs) as their philanthropic project this year. They are hosting fundraisers, collecting school supplies and textbooks, working with Jackie Lass and other volunteers in designing and making teaching aids, and are purchasing $1,000 worth of jewelry created by Nazareth students! This money will then be used by La Escuelita Nazareth to purchase new textbooks and materials for their students. Thank you, ladies!! Alpha Delta Kappa is an amazing group of dedicated educators with generous hearts. The principal and staff of Nazareth are incredibly grateful for their support and are looking forward to working with our educator volunteers led by Jackie Lass who will be providing in-service training. Thanks to Alpha Delta Kappa for their support and to Jackie Lass for coordinating the educational projects!
There is a need for lots & lots of thermal laminating pouches, velcro dots, & velcro strips to complete the teaching aids. Contact Jackie via email at [email protected] or by phone at (225)936-6567 if you can help to purchase or get these items donated and if you would like to help with putting the teaching aids together.
